"The reason behind doing a low-carb cookbook was not just simply to share recipes that helped me lose weight, although, the recipes you see in this book definitely did that. This cookbook was created to help rescue those who have been mishandled in life.
Months ago, I heard what The Dream Center in Phoenix was doing, and I knew that somehow, I wanted to be a part of it. They have been given a compound, right outside of Utah, that was used as a place where child brides were forced into marriages with grown men that were five times their age. When they took over this compound, they knew what was once used for evil, could now be used for good. They are just in the beginning phases of changing this property, that once was so devastating, into a place that rescues and heals. It will be named The Short Creek Dream Center.
Through the proceeds raised by this cookbook, we will support the work of providing meals, renovating the property, developing community programs, providing trauma counseling, workforce training, as well as providing emergency housing for those fleeing abusive situations.
The new Short Creek Dream Center, that is being established, will help bring freedom to others and I am so thankful that I get to be a small part of that. Thank you for buying this cookbook for all your friends and family. You are helping to set people free!"
